17. What is the best thing about being a pro surfer?
from: maryosborne
Traveling for sure. Being able to see other cultures and go around the world is something alot of people my age aren't able to do.

16. Where is your favorite place to surf?
from: maryosborne
My favorite place to surf in Florida is Sebastion Inlet. My other favorite would have to be Middles in Puerto Rico

15. what have the waves been like in florida latly i been on a bmx trip for a while so i dont know.
from: mark mulville
We finally got swell around Saturday. Its been fun, about waist-chest high and I think tomorrow more will be filling in. So other than the bad weather its fun!

14. if new smyrna or cocoa is your spot, is Daytona the ghetto?
from: Chad DeGroot
Nahh, Daytona is just where everybody goes to party and escape their little beach towns!

13. What goes on? have you ever caught a fish with your bare hands?
from: Chad DeGroot
Only when it was half dead...im not as talented but in Oklahoma people do "noodling"

12. i race BMX and i dont really know that much about surfing! LOL! so how do the rounds work? how many rounds do u do till the mains? how does it work lol!?!
from: Patty Rich
We have a setup of four people in a thing called a "heat." The heats generally last 20 minutes and are judged on top 2 waves and you can catch 10 waves maximum in that time. A final usually lasts a little longer like 25-30 minutes. The top two people advance to the next round. Depending on how many are entered in the event is how many rounds there will be.

11. how do u do in competitions?
from: Patty Rich
I have done really well, 3 ASP National Junior series titles and multiple east coast titles along with some finals in WQS events. Im amped!

10. where do u surf?
from: Patty Rich
Anywhere thats fun!

9. when did u start surfing?
from: Patty Rich
I started when I was ten, and got more into it when I was 14 and moved to the beach.

8. How do u like surfing?
from: Patty Rich
I love it, thats why I do it.

7. when your not surfing back home in florida what are you doing?
from: Mike Losness
When im not surfing, besides living at my job (waitressing) Im usually cruising around town on my bike, bronzing, people watching, fishing or going to the gym. Since the waves are not so good most of the year ive taken up spinning classes 3 times a week which is pretty fun.

6. Who is the best female surfer in the world and why?
from: Mike Losness
Stephanie Gilmore hands down. She has amazing style, a nice personality and she is so young!

5. what is the best thing about growing up in florida and where is the best waves in the world?
from: Mike Losness
Well I kind of grew up all over the East Coast and moved to Cocoa Beach when I was 14. Since ive lived in FLorida the best things have to be the fishing, laid back lifestyle, southern food and of course FLorida's Finest (the entertaining people). So far the best waves I have gotten were in either South Africa or Puerto Rico, but I hope to go to Indo someday..because I have a feeling that could be the best!

4. who is the most influential surfer for you...and why?
from: Buster Halterman
The most influential surfer to me would have to be Bethany Hamilton. The girl has so much drive and motivation, its something I admire.

3. How do u maintain being beautiful while u have worldwide fame?
from: Spencer
Well thank you for the compliment first off :) Ive taken up spinning classes 3 times a week so that probably helps with staying fit and im a vegetarian so that cuts out alot of things as well. Not doing drugs is also key!

2. where is the best place to surf??
from: Jared
In Florida, I would say the inlets are always most consistent. It just kinda depends on the swell direction and winds. In the world, my favorite place I have surfed was Middles, Puerto Rico.

1. How much do you love your life being a pro surfer??
from: Scott
I love it more than anything! As of right now its kinda tough not having a main sponsor...but I work a job full time to save up money for next year and when im not working im surfing or going to the gym so its good good :)
