OK, Thoughts on quads before Wardo's performance at pipe and after his result? (The webcast commentators talked a lot about that topic.) from: GreenwoodI have a few, but don't really ride them that much... and wardo rips but after the contest it didn't make me want to order more... I just think that goes to personal preference... I've had a few good days on them, but i think my thrusters hold just fine when it's really big... it is fun to try new stuff though... |

Do you have a girlfriend? hah kidding...no but seriously- What is the scariest, worst thing that has happened to you while surfing? Any Injuries?
Hannah from: boarderXladyha...nope, no girlfriend right now... there have been more than a few really sketchy situations over the years but the worst would have to be almost drowning twice, i opened my eyes to see how deep i was by the water color and what should have been blue or white all i saw was pitch black... a millisecond later i popped up! i was less than a second away from blacking out and just floating..
i have had ton of injury's too, one in Chile the day after i flew 20 hours to get there, in our first session my board hit me in the jaw so hard it broke in half and i was no where near any hospital or doctor for days.. i didn't know if my jaw was broken or not! i couldn't eat for like 5 days or open my mouth all the way for months! but the waves were so good 2 days later i had to surf, and the cold water help the swelling! Ha! |

alot of ppl say that snowboarding is just like surfing on water what are the similarities between the two?? from: hannahsnowboarding is just like surfing if you are in deep powder with a long board... you just lean on the tail and don't have to use the edges as much.. it's similar if you live in Norway because it is freezing ass cold too...
but when it is hard pack, that is whole different ball game.. then get ready to sprain every limb you have! |

whats ur average day like? from: MichelleIt depends where I am. but if I am not on Maui, it really fun and really busy! on Maui it is pretty cruisy, other days you are jumping in a boat to surf somewhere in Bali while on the phone booking tickets for that night go to Australia for a swell and looking a trip that starts in a few days to go to Tahiti. But for the most part I surf and deal with the usual! |

is it hard to surf pipeline , because i tried to surf and it was hard. peace out from: alxskaterIt is one of the hardest places to surf in the world, the waves are as intense as they get and on top of that, it is most aggressive crowd out of everywhere I have been. But for a lot of us that have grown up here, most of crow is our best friends. but if you are outside of that circle it can be hard. |

I think we all know that these sports can get really trying physically and mentally. So what's the main thing that keeps you going and motivates you to work harder? from: Halsey Davisvery true... the main thing is the simple fact that this is what i love to do... even if i worked doing construction or being a waiter i would still surf everday. i still do it for the same reason as i did when i started, for fun! on the work side of it, the one that makes me work harder is to keep progressing as much as i can.... |
