That's simply amazing! You took a poop in the refrigerator and you ate the whole wheel of cheese?? I am not mad at all. In fact, that's amazing (Anchorman)!! I am super lame and take a digital camera with me everywhere. I like to take an active ,lifestye photo, in a scenic environment!! What I need to do is get real and buy a true camera. |

Where is your favorite place that you've surfed? If the waves could be breaking any time of the day what is your favorite time of day to surf? Best of luck this season. Ross from: Ross PowersYeah Ross. I am a huge fan! My favorite spot I have surfed is without a doubt Egypt. We scored good waves and got to cruise to the pyramids via camels. It was surreal! My favorite time to surf is either early morning or late in the afternoon. Morning is usually good because of the conditions. And late afternoon is cool because you get to see some crazy sunsets! Thanks. Good luck to you too!

What is your craziest / scariest experience you ever had surfing? Great whites?? Massive waves?? Territorial locals?? from: CLITUNLuckily I have never had an experience with a great white! I am not going to lie, I would probably need to change my wetsuit if I saw one! My favorite surf experience was going on a trip to Egypt with Taylor Steele. We were filming for his new movie called Sipping Jetstreams and winged it over to Egypt from Italy. There turned out to be really fun waves and we got to go inside the pyramids!!!! Who would have imagined???? A surfing trip to Egypt!!! |

Hey Alex,
My question is when can we go surfing? I need you to teach me because I am only 7 and I want to learn from the best. My sister told me to tell you that every time she sees a hawk she thinks of Chris. See ya soon, hopefully.
Mitch from: mitchellYo Mitchell !!! Yeah man, we should surf sometime. I am never home anymore, but maybe we can work something out. I am not quite sure who your sister is, but tell her that I think of Chris everytime I see a hawk too. In fact, I saw two today.

Hey Alex, This is Kassidy and Mr. Jamile's 5th graders in Torrance. First question, does Kassidy really know you and have you been to her house? We also want to know are you ever scared when the waves are really big? And where is your favorite surf spot? P.S. When you come home next, can we get 32 autographs? from: kassHola Kassidy and Mr. Jamile's 5th graders. How's the handball court these days? I used to tear that place up in 5th grade. Answer number 1: Yes, I do know Kassidy and yes I have been to her house. What's up Kassidy?? Your mom is the coolest person ever. Answer number two: Yes, I do get scared surfing big waves. I believe even the guys who surf the biggest waves in the world get scared too. The exciting part about surfing big waves to me is learning how to turn that fear into a relaxed confidence. Answer number three: My favorite surf spots are Hawaii and home.
P.S. When I come home it would be no problem to give out 32 autographs. I figure at 5 bucks an autograph, that's 160 bucks!! haha. Just kidding. 32 autographs for free on me..... |

How often do you really get to lobster hunt.... Or dive i guess, with the busy schedule? from: steve fisherWhenever I am home, I make sure to dive whenever the surf is flat. My ideal world is to be in the ocean as much as possible. When there are waves, I Surf. When it is flat, I dive. We just had a huge memorial BBQ for my brother Chris who passed away 3 years ago. All of our family friends were there and I cooked up 22 lobster that I had caught the week before. The best thing about lobster diving is that you get to share it with everyone!!! There is going to be a new TV show coming out called the Drop Zone. I am going to Tahiti in May to film the first show. The crew consists of Cheyne Magnussen, Mark Healy, Holly Beck and myself. It is all about surfing, diving, and good times. Coming soon..........

Your GO211 pro page is sweet. What do you think of the site? from: Billy-GO211 Tech TeamGo211 is off the hook!!!!!! It is especially great when I am in a foreign country, where no one speaks enlglish, and I can check with my people. It is all about the people. My latest blog and photos are from a Drive Thru trip to New Zealand. Check it out. There was 8 of us in a motor home for two weeks searching for surf and fun. The best trip of my life by far! Mark Occhilupo was there!!! That guy is my hero!!!!!!! So are all of you........... |

Alex: Sometimes being a "class clown" can have serious consequences. Have you ever been in trouble for one of your practical jokes? Has anyone on the tour ever played a practical joke on you? from: Billy-GO211 Tech TeamClass clown...... Who??? Me???? Never. Ha. Well, there is definitely pros and cons to everything. I am just all about good times and having fun. All I need is a cool buzz, some tasty waves, and I'm fine. Hahaha. You need to see Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Great movie. Oh man, I just saw Super Bad. Super funny. I have turned into a movie enthusiast with all of the 12 hour flights that take up half of my life now. My all time favorite is Rudy. As for practical jokes, there have been a few. The best is to give someone a bar of soap instead of wax before their heat! ha. Or if someone is about to go to the bathroom, you take saran wrap and put it under the seat. So when your buddy goes for it, there is a clear barrier and he ends up getting ....... Wait, what??? You can talk about stuff like this on the internet! hahaha

What music is dominating your iPod shuffle? from: KristinI don't think there is any dominating going on with an ipod shuffle! I mean, seriously, who owns one of those???? I am all about the 80 gig. Go big or go home. hahaha. Just kidding. I am a freak about music. I love concerts. There is nothing better than live music. Reggae and old school rock is what really tickles my fancy. You kind of tickle my fancy too. Owwwwww. Bands like Marley, Steel Pulse, Izzy Vibes, Groundation, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Hendrix, Zeppelin etc. The list goes on and on. I am basically into everything except this whole 50 cent crap. That stuff isn't real music and I am 100% all natural!!!!!
- Call me sometime Kristin. We could eat a whole meal of food or something...... |

Are there any pros that are taller than 6 foot? Not knowing that much about surfing, is it possible for someone tall to be competitive or is size a complete disadvantage...? from: Bora's Buddy!Great question. I would say that the average size of a competitive surfer is around 5'7" to 5'11". Contests are tough for tall surfers because they are typically held in small waves. I can contradict that statement now with guys like Jordy Smith, Dane Reynolds and Kilian Garland who are over 6 feet tall and are some of the best in the world right now. I guess for some people size shouldn't matter. It's the performance that counts. hahahaha. Really though, screw statistics. Go surf, and have fun!!!!! That is what it is all about!!!
-Right on Bora's Buddy |

Your surfing is precise & smooth, who were your biggest influences growing up & how bad does Donny really smell??? from: Slider101Seriously, Donny's corn hole is the smelliest thing in the world!!! hahaha. Don't tell him I said that. We had a sick New Years with backstage passes to his concert. My posse definitely tore up the dance floor and more....... Back to surfing..... I watched Searching for Tom Curren 24/7 growing up. I still do. Guys like Greg Browning, Joe Bark,Taylor Knox, and Machado all float my boat too.

ALEX, WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO RIDE THE WAVES? from: JSPORTI would say that my favorite spot is the South Bay only because I am never there anymore!!! There is nothing better than being at home, surfing good waves with your friends. But, travel wise, I would have to say Hawaii is my favorite place. You can never go wrong with Indo or Australia too!!!!! Yeah J Sport. You rule. |
