36. Well I want thank you for everything, I still got plenty of questions for you, but I think also other people have to got a change, so I want to say good bye to you. In my country they say if the leave "Haije" and what do you say almost?
from: Jelle Willems

35. Torah tell me please what's your favorite trick in snowboarding? So not your best, but your favorite. Mine is a cab 360. BTW It doesn't mind if it's a jump, railtrick just your favorite.
from: Jelle Willems
my favorite trick is probably a front side 360 or and backside 180! I have yet to try and 1080, but i have landed 900's! ox T.

34. Tanks a lot, I'm pretty stoked you answered almost all my questions, so if you don't mind I'll ask some more, okay? Well, lets see...uh....You're a professional snowboarder, a good skateboarder, are you also a good surfer?
from: Jelle Willems
Surfing is one thing that i would love to be good at! It think it is the hardest to become good at, because you need a lot of time to put in it! I actually dream of surfing, i love it!! ox t.

31. so whats this meal your brother makes you before finals sometimes? And when you next come to England can you put it up and your website so i know! thanks
from: Polly
Hello Polly! Haha that meal is chicken trips! haha My brother ben will shallow pan fry chicken to a golden perfection, make mash, steam brocceli and carots and there you have it... mmm!! Yes Roxy is my sponsor from head to toe! I am obligated to wear all their gear every time i step out on the snow and in front of any media! so that is most days... lucky for me i like Roxy's cute gear so i wear it most every day! The scariest thing for me in snowboarding is any injury... bump, bruise or worse! Lucky for me i have been pretty lucky in that category. I do have a shoulder that keeps dislocating, so that is a bit of a problem, but apart from that i am pretty injury free! I do also wear a helmet, because you just dont want to risk any head injuries when it could be prevented by wearing a helmet! A helmet is the only type of protective gear i wear, i think it is the most important! Hope your doing swell! ox T.

30. Hay, Torah ..Who of the males snowboarders are you most friendly with?..Have you adapted to live in Utha? and do you ever get like Home sick when your far away from Home?
from: Tracy
hey Tracey. Everyone in the snowboard industry knows everyone. It's a small world really. Everyone gets along really well and has a lot of fun riding with each other in and out of contests. i love the Frends boys, we are all similar ages and all have a lot of fun together. Jack mitrani has been trying to teach me guitar to no avail though! I have adapted well, living in Utah, I have been here since i was 16. I actually love it! I don't spend a lot of time here in the summer but I have a great group of friends and its fun ridding!! I do get a little home sick at times, but thank goodness for modern technology, i get to see and chat to the family over the internet! Hope you are well! ox T.

29. I saw you flying on this Winter X games so my question is....besides all the training and coach times your brother does for you, what is your best motivation for riding the pipe so crazy, i mean, what is the motivation for training new tricks out of any contest or filming session? and of course, how does the snowboard help you to be a better person on your life? thanks Torah, you are EPIC! JP
from: JP
hey JP thanks for the kind words. I think my motivation comes from just wanting to be the best i can be at anything i do! i love snowboarding and when you learn something new there is no other feeling like it! It is like that for me in every part of snowboarding, not only in the pipe but ridding jumps and powder as well. Its hard sometimes when you are getting alittle beat up on something to keep the motivation to power through till you have it, but its all worth it when you can link that new trick into a run! Although snowboarding is just about the funnest thing you could have as a job i think i have learnt alot from just working hard at it that helps me in like... you dont get anything out of life unless you put in the hard work. I hope you are well and the winter is treating you nicely!! Thanks for writing in! ox T.

28. do you have any pets?
from: mikecap
Hello! yes i have a family dog, back in australia! he is a poodle/ king Charles spaniel. Rastas is his name! cute little guy! ox T.

27. Um... Is it true that they really say... "let's put another shrimp on the barbie" In regards to BBQing shrimp? I'm pretty sure I've heard you say that. But only before dropping in to the X games pipe. So i was wondering why you say it?
from: steve fisher
umm... good question fisher!! HAHAHAHA

26. Where is all the snow at in Aus?
from: Josh Patton
Hey josh. Well Australia has snow in two states. N.S.W and Victoria. Its over these two states that we have a bunch of different resorts. Perisher Blue and Thredbo in N.S,W and Hothem in Victoria are my favorites. Our resorts don't get a lot of snow, but i have had some on my funnest days ridding there amongst the gum trees! Have a good one. T.

25. where do you skate @?
from: Chad DeGroot
Hey chad. I only really ever skate when i am at Mt. Hood for summer. So each year I head there i get my shred on!

24. What is your favorite thing to eat?
from: Loreo316
Hey Loreo316! My favorite things to eat are cheese and chocolate!!! As hobbies other than snowboarding.... i love to surf, play tennis and just be with friends and family! Hope your swell, have a good one! T.

23. Do you have any advice for those who are seeking to get sponsored and for those who are just starting to get sponsored?
from: Carrie Cates
I guess my advise would just be... go out and snowboard, when you focus on your shredding and working hard at it to become a better ridder... the rest will all come!

22. How many seasons had you been snowboarding before you got your first sponsorship and who was your first sponsor?
from: Carrie Cates
I was actually sponsored my second season snowboarding... i got spotted at some local events in Australia and got hooked up with Burton, roxy and Arnette. I am still with Roxy, head to toe. T.

21. How long did it take you to get your stance and setup dialed in when you were learning how to snowboard?
from: Carrie Cates
Hello Carrie. I have not changed my stance to much from day one. the only think i have changed is my angle on my back foot. I used to ride with 0', but for the last 4 or so years i have been ridding with -3'. And of cause the stance has gotten widen with the few inches i have grown over the years! Hope your well. T.

20. Hey Torah, How do you prepare for a competition, do you have any rituals or superstitions you do or anything like that? And I know that England isn't good for snowboarding but you should come and do a signing or something, that would be awesome! I think you're amazing!
from: Polly
Hey Polly. I am kinda boring for this question... i dont really have anything special that i do. But there is this meal which is my favorite! My brother will make it every now and then before finals... i love it! I have been to England for PR things a few times, i love London, i would come back any day! Have a good one. T.

19. Well one extra question for you of me is about one of your sponsors, Roxy. I want to know if you will ever ride a board of another brand then them and if Roxy has plans to make boards for men to in the future? This were my question, hope you've liked them and be able to answer them all. Bye and kisses of me Jelle Willems from The Netherlands. Haije!
from: Jelle Willems
I have ridden other brands of boards... i also rode for Burton and Salomon. Roxy by far are my favorites! I get to design exactly how my board rides, and it is geared at women specifically! I don't want to ride any other boards after ridding my Roxy ones!!! Roxy will stay a women only brand... quicksilver is the brother company of Roxy. And now for you question as what i think of myself as a person, there is this simple quote that i love. "live your life with honor, humility, love and passion always within you" I think if we are trying to be better people always, then we are always moving forward, which is a great thing! good luck with everything and Have fun!!

18. Eight question, in our country we say "achtse vraag", In the right corner of my screen I see a picture of you skateboarding, so my question is what you like the most of it, street or vert and if you know some other girls which snowboard AND skateboard?
from: Jelle Willems
Well... I don't skate very often, but i love the mini ramps. Girl skaters blow my mind, because skate boarding is sooo Hard! Hannah Teter, Channel Sladics and Lindsey Adam Hawkins is a amazing skater!!!

17. Seventh question of me for you, hope you'll gonna answer them if you all get them, Torah have you still some tips for young riders in The Netherlands and other countries? Especially girls, although I'm a boy, I think there to much girls which only try skies.
from: Jelle Willems
I don't think it matters if you ski or snowboard... as long as you try your best, give it your all and take every opportunity you are given. You learn a lot from hard work, even if its only doing fun stuff like snowboarding!
