| 11. I know it's already my 3th question, so a short one, have you ever met pro snowboard number one...SHAUN WHITE?!:D from: Jelle WillemsCan I attach photos to this? Yes, I have met Shaun. I see him all the time a contests and sponsor events. |
| 10. Maybe a weird question, but anyway, what kind of toothbrush do you use?;) from: Jelle WillemsI have a couple. I use an electronic toothbrush and couple regular ones. I keep one at all my houses/well actually my parents houses so I would say at any given point in time I have around 5 toothbrushes. I'm going to go with Oral-B... Probably a couple Colgate's too. I am using Listerene toothpaste right now which I really like as well. I also have some Oral-B threading floss, because I have a permanent retainer and I need special floss. |
| 9. What about Vancouver? from: Jelle WillemsIt rains too much there! |
| 8. here in vermont people give crap to alot of people b/c they ski and not snowboard do u ever feel like ur in that position? from: hannahI haven't felt like I have been in that position for years. Most of my best friends are pro snowboarders, and I ride and train at the gym with them everyday. I have been invited to Women's Super Park for several years. The snowboarder that would give you a hard time for being a skier, probably isn't much of a snowboarder himself. At the Pro level everyone has a ton of respect for each other we hit the same jumps and take the same falls. Some things are easier and some things are harder. If they're giving you a hard time just show them up on the jumps and they'll come around. |
| 7. What inspired your "about me" section? Because its probably the greatest thing ever. from: ScottMy about me section was inspired by my good friend Corey Bradley (pro wakeboarder). We always go off on ridiculous conversations. When I first signed up and had to fill out an about me section it seemed really odd. I thought it was really boring to write something like "I grew up, had fun, like friends, don't like mean people, like to ski.... etc. so I decided to make it totally off the wall. So I sat around and came up with the most ridiculous things I could, all though there are a several truths in there. It was really fun to come up with. Make your own just use mine as an outline! |
| 6. What would people consider your greatest accomplishment and what would you consider your greatest accomplishment? from: Tricia ByrnesMy greatest accomplishment in skiing has been helping to get women's skiing where it is today, in X-Games, World Championships, North American Open, Ski Tour, Video parts... etc. When I started I had to compete against the guys or not at all. I was at X-Games as a forerunner for 3 years before we got our own contest. When I started there were no girls in ski movies. Women's skiing has come a long way and I am very proud to have been there since the beginning. |
| 5. For those of us who don't know, can you explain the
Follow the Fun tour that you seem to be the leader of this past summer? from: Tricia ByrnesI am the leader....hahaha it's my tour! The Follow the Fun Tour happens every year. Follow the Fun Tour 08 has just begun. It all started because my friend Jamie Little and I were talking about how we are always on the road. We are on the road but most of the places we go are fun. So we started to joke that "We Follow the Fun" and the tour was born. For me it's work in the winter and following the fun in the summer. I have taken it to the next level, complete with a follow the fun calender and schedule of possibilities. Basically at the beginning of the summer I look up all the major sporting events that I have an interest in, all the parties, all the concerts and media events and over lay them on my calender. I then decide which ones make sense by looking at the dates and where the most fun is likely to be. For instance if I need to go skiing in Whistler, I am clearly going to do that while the huge BMX event is going on. If I want to surf in LA, I will plan that
the week of the Espy's.... etc.
Last summer "The Follow the Fun Tour" stops included. The Indy 500, The US Open of Golf, Mammoth Mountain Motocross, Epic Ride Speed Channel, Whistler Skiing and BMX Elevation, LA surfing, Espy's, Dirt Bikes Scottsdale, The Dew Tour Cleveland, Summer X Games, NYC Media Tour, 2 Justin Timberlake Concerts NYC, Teen Choice Awards LA, Skiing New Zealand, Oakley Celebrity Golf Las Vegas, 2 weeks Wakeboarding in Orlando, SEMA Las Vegas, Nascar Race Phoenix, and some time for training before the start of the season. One fun stop to the next! |
| 4. f you could be any other professional athlete what
would you be and why? from: Tricia ByrnesA Pro Wakeboarder, Because I grew up competing in wakeboarding and really miss it. A lot of my best friends are pro wakeboarders. I wish I would have chose pro golfer because there's no such as injury. I would be making a lot of money, and I could complete until I'm 45 which would be nice |
| 3. Top five albums you would bring if you were stranded
on a desert island? from: Tricia ByrnesI'm not really that into music... Justin Timberlake. |
| 2. Accomplishment in life that if you achieved you
could die happy? from: Tricia ByrnesEnlightenment... |
| 1. I know skiers can land pretty awkward sometimes, so whats your worst injury? from: Josh PattonA couple years ago I came up short on a jump while doing a 720. I also came short on the rotation. I hit my head really hard and got a brain hemorrhage. I never lost consciousness, but ended up spending two nights in intensive care. I was totally out of it for a day or so, not quite right for about a week, and couldn't do anything with a risk of whiplash or hitting my head for a couple months. I have had 2 concussions since then and always wear a helmet. Hitting your head is the scariest thing you can do. |
