The first stop on this year's AST Dew Tour, The Panasonic Open, happened to be in Bucky Lasek's hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. Lasek ,a skateboarding pioneer, had one thing on his mind going into the contest...WIN.
The two time AST Dew Tour Champ did just that by winning the skate-vert competition. Lasek's 2nd run in the finals was an instant classic. Not only did he get the top score of 93.75, but also gave his B-More friends and family something extra by busting out a new fastplant spin.
Lasek competed against ten of the best skaters in the world. Just look at who finished right behind him. Pierre-Luc Gagnon finished in 2nd and Bob Burnquist finished in third.
Will Lasked be able to maintain his lead away from his hometown? That question will be answered in a month when the AST Dew Tour travels to Cleveland.
