Last years AST Dew Tour champion, Shaun White, is making his first appearance on the 2008 Dew Tour after missing the tour's first event. White missed the Panasonic Open because of an ankle injury, but he is ready to compete at the Right Guard Open. White is fresh off a second place finish at the Maloof Money Cup, which took place last weekend.

White qualified for the finals today with a stellar performance in the Vert Prelims, but will face tough competition on Saturday. His opponents include Bob Burnquist, Pierre-Luc Gagnon, and Bucky Lasek (1st place Panasonic Open.)
