The Tony Hawk Foundation and Activision present Stand Up For Skateparks. And the charity event is coming to the East Coast. It's scheduled for August 10th, 2008 in Bridgehampton, New York. The "family-centric, action sports carnival" features some of the best BMX athletes and skateboarders, including the Birdman himself, showcasing their skills in the vert ramp and Tony's personal ramp. Games, food, auctions, and music will also help set the atmosphere for the charity event.

The Tony Hawk Foundation helps cities build free skate-parks in low-income communities. The charity organization helps give at-risk youth a great place to learn to skate, have fun, and stay safe.
