Molly Aguirre and Chas Guldemond bonked, slid, aired and pressed their way to glory under the lights Friday night at the Steel and Sky Rails Competition in Vail, CO.
Aguirre, who also won the Session’s Rail Jam in 2005, was able to come through for the win once again this year. She was behind for the first half of the hour-long session, but pulled it together at the end for the win over Tahoe’s Jamie Anderson. Anderson, a new GO211 Pro, finished second and Japan’s Izume Amaike tied Breckenridge’s Leslie Glenn for third.
Guldemond followed up his first-place qualifier spot with a first-place money spot. The 20-year-old from Truckee bested the styles of Scotty Arnold, who took home the second-place cash and Canadian Scot Brown who finished third.
