"Core of Man's spirit comes from new experiences." Relin
You know it is a good trip when you can sit content staring at the wall for hours reliving your experiences. Books, magazines, tv, etc. are no contest for the images playing in my head. There is a bounce in my step and an energy in my mind that I did not have 10 days ago.
My perspective of the world has been altered a little bit and I think that is the underlying goal of why we travel. It is hopes of these experiences that pull me away from the safety & comforts of home. That anticipation one gets wondering what lies around the next corner is a thrill like nothing else.
The mind seeks this thrill and responds well to it. Monotony is a slow death to creativity and the human spirit. If people traveled more the world would be a better place. But don't just travel to travel, make it count.I know it is bad for environment but going to Turkey and doing what I just did does not feel bad and I a not guilty. The friendships made, the mountains ridden, and the things I learned will stay with me forever. Unlike material things these experiences are untouchable and will never go away.
Getting ready to go straight. This was the fastest I have gone all year. photo Ritzer

The last morning of the trip. The snow was as good as it gets. I have never seen fog move in and out of the mountains so quick.

Stefa Gimpl is the nicest person in snowboarding until you get him playing ping pong, pool, etc . Pic.

Making a good turn never gets old. I will be going this for the rest of my life. I did not want this day to end. pic Ritzer

Self Portrait. My last photo from Turkey.
Special thanks to Huck and Chuck and Bernhard for inviting me on the trip. Check www.oneill.com for a sneak peak from the trip and an O'Neill movie coming out in the fall 2008.
Helmet Cam footage coming soon.
