Con Man Rips Off Surf Industry Again

Wed Oct 08 2008 19:15:00

The "Surfing Con Man" found a new victim this week, after laying low for nearly a year. Tim Lynch, One Track Mind Producer, was tricked into sending the con man $380. The Surf Con Man pretended to be a pro surfer who is stuck at the airport without any money or contacts. He calls people within the surf industry and asks them for help. Lynch says the request to wire money sounded odd, but because the man knew so many details, Lynch says he didn't really question the person's true identity.
