More Recently Ahimsa Sunrise has competed and won 3 rounds of the BODOGBATTLEOFTHEBANDS.com over the past 5 months. Competeing all over out of 7,000 bands 17 finalist moved on to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to compete. Ahimsa sunrise was one of the 17 chosen bands left in the United Station We went to the "Hall of Fame" and were not chosen to continue on to the reality series simply because the judges did not like the new generation of style. "Jonny Rottin",Billy Duffy, and Bif naked shut them down because of screaming. They all simply said "What was that?" Having the biggest crowd at every event including the final show Ahimsa Sunrise knows that they belong somewhere in the music industry. Ahimsa Sunrise is a four piece, post-modern hardcore/experimental rock band who craves the fusion of sounds. As a young, unsigned band from DuBois, PA, they have been driven by their passions of creativity since forming in the summer of '03. While having experience with touring and making music in previous bands, the four knew that their new band could not go unheard. They have performed with various national acts such as Recieving End of Sirens, Bleed the Dream, and Amber Pacific. Also, Ahimsa Sunrise had a spot on the "Vans Warped Tour" in 2005, playing alongside Circa Survive. This is not a band that will fade with the times, but one that will be forever remembered for their unique style and courage to go against the grain, while still having a marketable sound. Pushing all ends of the musical spectrum, featuring a rare blend of melodic beauty and chaos, they reach around in an invention of their own artful noise. Some say it's as if they implemented the lofty, atmospheric, Californian sound, and subject it to a brutal punishment. One song will be the most alluring, tripped-out song you've ever heard, while the next song contains straight-up metal. In other words, Ahimsa Sunrise offers something for every music listener, while staying true to their original sound. They are a band who can't be judged by only one song, each song is its own. To hear their entire full length album is to understand their true sound. From designing the artwork for their first cd, to selling albums in other countries, Ahimsa Sunrise believes there is a great future for them in the music industry, and, whatever happens, they will become very eminent throughout the years.
