Today was starting to look better til third round came around. I took a pretty hard digger in the ryhthm section down the last straight and was feeling pretty sore after it. When i found out that I had still made the main though I was ready to go...adrenaline overtakes pain all the time so I figured I was good to go. Semi came around and I obviously had last lane choice and got stuck out in eight but still managed to make it through in the four slot to go on to the main event. I was pumped and ready to go come main time but when the gate slammed down i came unclipped. NOOOOO GOOD. i tried to come back, I was hauling out of the first turn but I jsut was riding like a crazy woman and kept bonking everything so no matter how fast I got going I just slowed myself right back down. I did end up passing two people down the last straight to get sixth but I am still not too excited on the weekend. However, it was good to get the much needed riding in and I guess I am just glad I am ok.
Arielle ended up winning the elite womens race then and Logan collins actually ended up beating Denzel to take home the victory in jr men, and finally in the elite mens...once again kyle bennett.
Other than that some other good things happened today, I got my Australia tickets all set up and also confirmed i will be headed out to the training center next weekend in Chula Vista, CA. So I have a busy next couple weeks but I am looking forward to it. It should be fun.
But the uci racing is over and now I am back off to home sweet home in Minnesota bright and early. So I am gonna get packed up and head to bed.
