I swear a week ago there wasn't an inch of snow on the ground..after the past few days now though, there's like over a foot!! I love snow and all but the first bit of winter cold always gets me, every year. it was -9 degrees today which if you ask me...is pretty cold. The weather is definitely making it hard to focus on riding, but I am definitely trying to stay on the training.
I took a week off after the grands and started back on the training once again. It was kind of bad timing to start though because after like 3 days of training I had one of the most hectic gymnastics weekends of the season! Our school hosted this big Invitational where a bunch of teams come and we have to move ALL of our gymnastics equipment from a practice gym, outside and across to the main gym...in the FREEZING cold, and then clean everything up and make it look nice for the guest teams. The weekend is a ton of work and very stressful for many of the parents and coaches. As far as for me, the weekend is just tiring. It all starts Friday moving all the equipment over and then taking team pictures and such until somewhat late at night..then saturday waking up early to compete ALL DAY, then ahve a team sleep over right after, only to wake up and go work the younger girls gymnastics competition on sunday, followed by the tear down and movement of equipment back to the practice gym....Hectic!!! But it's over so now I plan to get right back on the training. i need to get to the traack to work on some of those random gates again since the ABA finally switched over to the same cadence for the pros as every other race in the world!! haha.
Back to the snow though...the white christmas is coming!! =] I love the holiday season and have yet to finish my xmas shopping but i am really excited. All the christmas lights are up around town and all the xmas carols and everything just really puts ppl in good spirits! Oh, and a big break from school is always something to look forward to =] haha. Anyways, I posted a couple pictures from the gymnastics team, and am gonna try to get some video up on here of all that gymnastics everybody always hears about so check for that!
happy holidays and check back soon! ~~alise
