That is right, it is that time of year again. Time for the one and only DUB MASSIVE.
This Sat. night and the Cocoa Beach Sand Bar starting at 9pm.
No cover charge for some good vibes and culture.
The DUB MASSIVE is a celebration of Florida's top reggae DJ's and MC's.
Bringing a real Trench Town style street party vibe right here to Cocoa Beach.
Last year we dedicated the show to Jack Hoffpauir. He was one of the original DUB MASSIVE DJ's and the trombone player for the New School Dropouts. He used to throw a party called Music for Hope and that would raise money for the National Suicide Hotline. He started that party a some years ago after his father took his own life. About a year and a half ago Jack was killed by a train in his father's jeep. He loved that jeep, I even tattooed a picture of it on him.
Since then, fellow surfer and tattoo artist Yoni C. took his own life by jumping of an over pass into on coming traffic on 95.
Many people know someone who has been affected by suicide and it is a very hard thing to understand. I am very passionate about helping out the National Suicide hotline and believe the DUB MASSIVE is the perfect party to raise money for that cause.
So I am not trying to tell you all this depressing stuff to guilt you into coming and helping out. I am just telling you the deal on this party.
If you enjoy reggae music and the Caribbean culture, you will love this party, simple as that!
Ricky Carroll just donated another killer brand new board to paint and raffle off at the party.
I will post a pic of it as soon as I find the time to paint it!

This Is Yoni Chung, he was my big "brother" that I grew up surfing with at the pier.

Yoni took his own life due to depression. This concert will help people who have problems with depression and need help. All proceeds go to the Suidide Hotline.
Of course a photo of the infamous "Sandbar Surfboard" in Cocoa Beach where the event will be held.
