Wed, 12 Dec 2007 - Posted at 12:08:29 AM So here I am in copper mountain Colorado, spend a solid week of shredding, mostly pipe and a little pow and basically just getting my legs and lungs in order for the first event of the season, and I guess for the season in general. Nothing like a little high altitude Colorado pipe hiking to get you in shape fast. Copper has been rad, the pipe has been awesome, firm and grippy and not too icey, and Gretchen and Tricia and I stayed in a pretty sweet condo at the base of the mountain, the only drawback being that every morning at exactly 8am the Copper Village surround sound stereo system that blast everything from Christmas Carols to Bon Jovi began, so we would wake up singing all sorts of weird songs that would stick in our heads all day, some sort of subliminal messaging I think.
After a week of shredding I went back to Mammoth to recoup and check in before my crazy winter travel schedule begins and I actually got to hangout in LA with some friends for the weekend. A pretty amazing experience. And now I am back in Copper and getting ready to head over to Breck tomorrow for the Grand Prix which is always like the first week of school, hi fiving everyone and hearing about everybody’s summer and fall adventures and just getting your feet wet at the first contest of the year. So yeah, the season is beginning and I will keep you posted on the results and happenings and if you are lucky I will show you what I have been working on all fall......my condo remodel. -kelly |
