I grew up on the streets of the west coast, my street name was Zelda. I left home when I was 12 and rarely returned. I eventually received my GED and then worked odd jobs to support myself. I lived on Haight in S.F. for a while and then moved out to Ohio where I heard there was good skating and a nice community away from the grind of the city. It was just what the doctor ordered. I turned my life around and started going back to school. I was in the Honors College for chemistry at Ohio University. When I wasn't studying, skating or taking care of my son I was working in my organic garden. I enjoy various genres of music and have been playing the harmonica since I was three. I started skating when I was 4 or 5. The first time I saw a vert ramp was with Wendy at Skatopia in Ohio. I met a lot of good people. I eventualy discovered air and conquered the air to fakie tricks. I was interested in going pro so I went to California to get exposure to competitions and a wider variety of terrain. I trained several hours a day. But had stage fright and at my first pro competition ran into another skater, Jewels, and she fell and knocked out her front teeth. I feel terrible and haven't competed since. Since then I have struggled with my recovery and have had health issues. My health problems have made it difficult to skate but I still try to keep up on the scene and try to keep in touch with the ladies that touched my life when I was skating. I'm now in school for general science. I just completed six months of computer science courses and will be taking physics next year with some programming for abstract scientific problem solving. I love spending time with my son, Ocean. He always wants me to say hi to the pros that I meet or that I know. So a big Hello from Ocean.
