Just got back from Oldsmar, Florida where stop #4 of the ABA Pro series was held. Had a pretty good weekend- finally. The track was good, the weather was good, and I was putting in some good laps on my Hyper. On Saturday during the NBC/Universal Sports filming I got 4th. In Sunday's race, I got 1st. Racing has been so difficult, with so many talented riders that I am truly honored to have stood atop the podium with the caliber of racers in attendance (even though Olympic Champion Maris Strombergs was still taller than me standing on the podium). Here's video of that last main of the day:

2 weeks ago was the 3rd stop of the ABA tour in Perris, CA. It rained. This was the first mud race that we've had in a while and normally I love rain races, but this time it just didn't rain hard enough to give me an advantage haha. Just on and off rain all weekend made for a soggy two days of racing. If racing wasn't random enough, rain just makes it worse. A crash and a slip out of the gate kept me out of the finals for both days. Ran the helmet-cam again for the NBC/Uni crew and that footage will show a bit of what a dreary race day is like. Congrats to Mikey Day and Joey Bradford who both had some big wins and have both been riding really well this year.
Right after Perris I got to visit Bel Aire Park Alternative school in Napa. There were already a few kids there who race BMX so it was great having them bring in their bikes, uniforms and trophies so their peers could see that racing is in fact for all ages.
And finally, 3 few weeks ago I did a little interview with Kellie in the Morning, which is a radio show on the KVYN station in Napa. They were broadcasting from a food drive in town and I stopped by for a quick chat. Ran into Napa Mayor Jill Techel on the way out of the show. She promised to buy me dinner months ago after she presented me with the key to the City of Napa and don't worry Jill I will take you up on it one of these days!
Couple busy weeks ahead. Enjoy the many pictures of events below.
Thanks
