Eyesight, one of the best known bands from the culturally vivid region of Saarland, Germany next to the French border, set new standards in modern punk- rock music over the last8 years. As some may call it emo, some rock or contemporary pop, Eyesight excellently fuses elements from various musical genres, melts them in the big bowl of rock and adds a considerable flavor of own stylistic devices. Combined with a textual reflection of personal experiences – positive as well as negative - these four young men express the feelings of a whole generation in their unique songwriting.

It’s been a cold winter day in 1998, when members of the bands Yellow Widgeon and
Toy Boy decided to focus on a new project and a new friendship –Eyesight saw the light
of day. Soon, the first demo (“as cold as eyes” 1999) was cut and the band started to set stages on fire.

After producing a first full length album themselves (“Hands In Chains”, 2000/2001),
Eyesight pulled out all the stops in order to release the second album in 2003 (“…is your ability to see”, High Pressure Records).

In 2004, besides the excessive touring, they still managed to fit in a video- production to
the song “one moment”, which can be downloaded from their homepage, and recorded
a cover song (“It never rains in southern California”, Albert Hammond). Actually, they had sworn to never ever play or record a cover song, but the possibility to have a song on a sampler with such great bands as NOFX, Die Toten Hosen, and many more, eased the decision (Punk Chartbusters, Wolverine Records).

After being picked up by Alericx Booking, the band hit the streets again and toured with Berlin’s Win the day (Sep/Oct 2005) and Aachen´s Start a Revolution (Jan 2006). From
large venues to dirty basements, Eyesight made hold of the audience with unbelievable passion and sheer energy while performing life. But even since the band’s inception,
they convinced with explosive live- shows, sharing stages with the likes of the Donots (D), 3Colors Red (UK), Venerea (SWE), Disaster Area (D), Sommerset (NZ), Ransom (D), Face Tomorrow (NL), Pale (D), Fonzie (PT), The Movement (DK), Crowfish (BG)
and many more.

In February 2006, the band decided to partly open the intimacy of their mutual friendship to the public by releasing a tour- video to their cover song which captures how much fun
it can be touring in a stinky little mini van with a few boys gone wild.

With the end of the cold, snowy days in Germany, the band will be heading to sunny Italy
in April to play several shows from Genoa to Milan and Venice. And despite the preparations for the recording of the new album in June, further touring with UK bands (May) and US acts (September) is already confirmed.
