“...from the second that I heard the opening riff in their opening song “Tell No One†from their CD Before The Sun, I was hooked...a CD full of rock radio hits!†– Tim Louie, The Aquarian Weekly
2007 is shaping up to be Fixer’s year. The first half has seen the band on the road aggressively promoting their debut full-length recording, Before the Sun, which so far has been getting a great response from fans, critics and radio alike. No strangers to hard work, Fixer has played roughly 35 shows since the album came out in late January, which has helped them sell over 1,000 units so far both online and at the shows.
“Fixer sweats like classic Guns ‘N Roses and wails like vintage Aerosmith…My big discovery of the night, Fixer celebrates glamour, energy and charisma in the person of lead singer Evan R. Saffer, who manages to channel equal parts Steven Tyler, Jagger, Iggy, and Bowie…From his mascara to his washboard abs, Saffer is a throwback to a time when stage presence actually meant something. And he has a great set of pipes…†– Jim Testa, Jersey Beat
As one of the most popular unsigned bands being consistently spun on Albany’s 103.1 FM, Fixer won an opportunity to open for Godsmack at Albany’s Palace Theatre in front of a capacity crowd of 3,000. The audience response was tremendousâ€â€Fixer walked off to a standing ovation. Fixer is also receiving consistent nationwide airplay on XM Radio Channel 47, as well as on several stations in various markets throughout the country. Their new MySpace page (created in April, after the old one stopped functioning properly) has exploded as well, averaging almost 2,000 plays a day, with total plays over 100,000.
“To encapsulate, Fixer is an arena rock band, that just hasn't hit the level of being able to play an arena....yet†– Lazlo, Lazlo’s Den
Fixer is determined to show the world that the concept of kick-ass rock music played and performed by actual rock stars with personality and talent is not a thing of the past. They’ve shared stages with bands such as the aforementioned Godsmack, The Ataris, Silvertide, Seether, The Exies, Stellastarr, Finch, and members of the legendary Guns n’ Roses and have not only held their ownâ€â€they’ve owned the stage. It’s been a long, hard road, but as AC/DC put itâ€â€Ã¢â‚¬Âit’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll.†Fixer wants to rock and roll, alright, and the party’s just getting started.
