LG Action Sports Tour – SundayPosted at 02:40:10 AM
Well, a great weekend came to a close today and we now have four brand new LG Tour World Champions. Lots of drama in the finals, lets get to them. Amateur Skate Vert Well, well, well whaddya know? Lil’ Mitchie Brusco killed it today against guys much older than him, scoring a third for the day. His go211.com teammate, Dylan Taylor, grabbed a second, including nailing a sweet 540. But 18 year old Josh Stafford was the one to stand on top of the podium in the end and hold up the gold Texas belt buckle. Skate Street The Brazilians came to play this weekend, qualifying five out of the ten skaters in the final. In the end, Rodolfo Ramos redeemed himself by repeating as LG Tour champ, this time not as the favorite. Fellow Brazilian Carlos de Andrade grabbed the Silver and Greg Lutzka prevented the Brazilian sweep. Top qualifier Danilo de Rosario took a pretty hard fall in the final and ended up with a tenth. BMX Vert The Vert finals were off the chain. Everyone was going absolutely HUGE. Kevin Robinson apparently has his bike lost by the airline and had to ride a stock bike from a local bike shop. He slammed hard in practice; it looked like he knocked himself out. Koji Kraft threw together a nice set of runs for the day as well and ended up in 6th. Chad Kagy ruled his first run but also took a hard slam right at the end, bruising/dislocating his ribs, and couldn’t make it back for the final. Still his first run was good enough for third. Simon Tabron has had the silver medal on lock for pretty much the whole year. Still pulled some sweet 900’s on the way to the two spot. Who won, you ask? Well, none other than the man hisself, Jamie Bestwick, who has also won monopoly, chess, and pong this year to make it a clear sweep. Hey contest season is over for 07, go home. And turn out the light on your way out. See ya in 08. |
