Today we headed over to Mours to ride. I raced at the same track in 2002 for a European Round and really enjoyed riding the track back then. The track itself sits in a bowl and is all slightly downhill, so you are allways carrying great speed. Things didn't start of great when they set the gate up and it wasnt a proper UCI Pro-Gate. The gate droped soooo fast, it was impossible to gate a decent one...after a few gates i decided to knock it on the head and just session the track. Marcus Bloomfield has been of his bike for over 11months with a bad back injury (ended up having surgery and 3 epidurals to get it right) but was looking sharp, coming up with some new lines on each straight etc. Kelvin Batey showed us all track speed at its best. Shanaze Reade and Joey Gough both rode the track like they were one of the lads! Anyone that says Shanaze is just raw natural power needs to watch this girl practice and session a track...pull manual, jump to manual, bump jumps for fun...Crazy.
Unfortuantely, my camera charger must have got damaged on the flight over and is broke. So i managed to get some footage from day1 and that its. I have some other stuff from someone elses digital camera that hopefully i can upload.
Off to Montelimar again tomorow...Cant wait!
Cheers, Liam.
