Drive Thru NEW ZEALANDPosted at 05:40:43 PMWhere do I start with this one......... I guess I will start by saying this was the best surf tirp of my life!!! The crew consisted of Occy, Donovan Frankenriter,Benji Weatherly, Pat O Connell, Ozzie Wright, and myself. The Dive Thru is a two week long road trip in a motorhome in search of good waves and serious fun. From Christchurch all the way to Dunedin (the southern most end of NZ), we covered 3,700 KM in 14 days and scored some great waves along the way. But, for the Drive Thru, surfing is more or less the icing on the cake. Case in point the ZORB: a human bubble that you bounce down and a grass hill race course. There was also the grade 3 white water rapid adventure. Oh and you can't forget the 100 ft. rock slide on boogie boards, cliff jumping, fly fishing,towing into a 15 ft. ledge, me getting 7 stitches, and the worst night of camping in the rain turned intohe best night ever because of Donovan's organ and the soon to be realesed official Drive THRU SONG!!!! The DT is really all about having fun while capturing the ups and downs of constant travelling with some of the world's best surfers and best personalities in surfing. It is basically surfing best reality show gone completely wrong!!!! The filming never stops 24/7. They capture everything. And I mean everything!!!!! At times it was hard to take in NEw Zealnd insane natural beauty because we were constantly on the move. But New Zealnd is the most beautiful place I have ever been. From every Lord of The Rings scene you could imagine to sheep, cows, rainbows, waterfalls, snow, cliffs New Zealnd has it all. Yet, when you are on a trip with five of your heroes in search o good waves and the best time ever, it isn't hard to realize that you are on the best trip of your life!!!!
