MIDLAND MICHIGAN NBL STATE QUALIFIER 3 AND 4Posted at 11:00:00 PM
Last weekend we had 4 of our Samurai head out to Midland Michigans NBL track for stops 3 and 4 of the Michigan NBL state series. Alex was the smart one and headed up the day before skipping the 4 hour drive the day of the race, Eric, Kennedy, and Skylar headed there from reading, and Heath and Zac rolled out from Adrian. With the help of the Tom Tom navigation system the Ries car arrived on time with no problems at all, but then Eric and the help of his trusty black berry directions wound up on some random dirt road somewhere. It all worked out though because there was a rain delay that put motos off for a handfull of hours. The Midland BMX crew did a wonderful job of getting the track in shape. We had never been there but we arrived to a very nicely groomed track. Races went down smoothly, much smoother then any NBL event that we attended last year at all, high five to the Michigan NBL crew. Alex rode very well on saturday making the mains in both class and open. Unsure of what he finished in class but he got bumped off the track in the first turn in the main for the money open. Heath did decent in his cruiser class, scoring a second place. We are awaiting on the finishes for Eric and Kennedy. The mains went down with tons and tons of action, a lot of bumping and people falling down. Eric and Kennedy headed back home, Alex headed to the fairgrounds and Heath and Zac hit the local sleep inn for a good nights sleep. Sunday rolled around too early. We all met up again at the track minus the Boyers and helped the BMX-Guru.com get all set up for the vending gig and motos were off on time again. Just like saturday all the motos were jammed packed with all kinds of action. Alex Kicked 7 kinds of tail in the money open taking home another big win and Heath represented the 25 to 29 cruiser with another 2nd. Big thanks to everyone who visited the BMX-Guru.com tent and checked out the Samuraiprojectclothing.com goods including the brand new Kanji and Girls shirts, and a big Thank you Midland bmx and Michigan NBL for a great weekend. We Hope to see all of you next month august 16th and 17th at stops 5 and 6 of the michigan state series at oscoda bmx. |
