The Streak Continues - 259 Motos at ABA US Nationals! (Mon, 4 May 2009 Posted at 07:00:00 AM)
The ABA U.S. Nationals have attracted an astounding 259 motos of amazing competition in Bakersfield, California this weekend, which continues the streak with every ABA National having increased participation compared to 2008. Two weeks ago ABA`s Cajun Nationals increased participation by more than 200 riders, and this weekend`s U.S. Nationals exceeded 2008 by more than 50 motos. Metro BMX, this weekend`s host of the event, has rolled out the red carpet for the great number of families that have attended this event. Metro BMX features one of the best concession stands in all of BMX, which is complimented by their very hospitable staff. Despite Friday`s rain, the track is in great shape and the racing will be hot. Several classes have great rider counts such as 10 and 13 Expert with 33 riders, 12 and 17-18 Expert with 32 riders each and 8 Expert with 29. In addition to great amateur racing, ABA Pro racing will be amazing. Both A and AA Pro classes have great numbers including the gold, silver and bronze medal winners at the 2008 Olympics. The U.S. Nationals is certainly a marquee event on the ABA National Tour.
