I bought a refrigerator today. A french door Maytag stainless steel beauty, you know your old when you get excited about buying a refrigerator. After the longest haul ever (2,465 miles in 4 days totaling 42 hours of driving time) we made it to Washington only to be told that we have to live in a hotel for another week while the underwriters dilly dally over finishing our loan paperwork for our new house. This buying a house stuff has me ready to pull my hair out. All that aside we are very excited to be back in the west, close to home and breathing the fresh mountain air.
I had a chance to ride SeaTac on Tuesday, its a fun little track and the bmx scene is alive and well here. The people are really friendly and the track has one of the funnest rhythm sections I have ridden in a long time so I am looking forward to spending more time out there.
Also anxious to be racing again, but this house business requires my John Hancock in order to sign away the next 30years of my life so I cant get out to Rockford this weekend, which really bums me out. Next stop for me is Roseville followed by my old hometown of Salt Lake then its off to Worlds in Australia.
Pic below is of our new pad and Mike's best cheese followed by shot of one of the gigantic trees we came across on a hike out at Mt Rainier Monday. Mike already has plans for us to do some epic 90mile 10,000 feet of climbing around the mountain, think I need to remind him I broke my heels 3 months ago.
Cheers
