Commercial Fishing in Bristol BayPosted at 04:00:00 PM
I just got back from a month of commercial fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska. It was a great time, but by the end of it my hands felt like a truck had ran over them. I've been commercial fishing all of my life but I don't think it ever gets easier. When your stuck in the middle of a 12 hour salmon opener, in the rain and wind with fish slime, salt water, and jelly fish getting in your eyes and mouth, you could say its pretty miserable. But the minute that fishing season is over, it all seems tolerable and not so bad. Weird how that works. |
