1st Annual Stone Clinic Women's Athlete Conference (Sun, 21 Sep 2008 Posted at 12:00:00 PM)
To recap the things which unfolded throughout the two days in San Francisco is a large task and I most definitely cant give justice to the incredible interchange of ideas and steps toward movement in our sports that unfolded... but I'll try. The depth of each subject that was discussed and each topic that was brought forward are so incredibly vast and unending. In short, a collection of women athletes gathered together September 19th and 20th with a common focus of career and with the goal of attaining some sort of insight into what the right path is, the approach and steps to take in order to make the most of the extraordinary things that each and every one of us are doing in our sport. Not only were there concrete glimpses into the backround of the marketing, publicity and corporation which fuel the careers of women athletes, but there also was an unbelievable interchange of ideas and thoughts between these two sides of the spectrum. I believe something real and tangible occured this weekend in evolving the careers of women in the ski and snowboard world. I encourage all who read this to check out more at www.shejumps.com. This was the 1st annual conference... I for one hope and plead for another! Good things happen when like minds organize and discuss!
