Today I went sailing in the San Diego bay with my roommate Maggie and some other members of the U.S. Kayak team. It was a gorgeous day! When we got back to the harbor we met a group that had just gotten back from scuba diving off Point Loma and had speared a sevengill shark. The shark had been circling them half way through their dive and as it neared they speared it with a speargun. The shark was about 8 feet long and as they loaded it out of the boat it regurgitated a seal fin and some chunks of meat! Its a crazy thought that those things are wandering around the ocean. Pretty cool.
