Did I mention Nate won......

It’s Over.......today was my last day at the Suzuki Champions Cross and despite the fact that I have yet to see a mellow backie, never mind the elusive mellow double backie this event kind of kicked ass. Seth Wescott even crawled out of his hospital bed to make an appearance as sideline heckler/award presenter. I hate to admit that I was a little too busy talking and messing with people to give a complete blow by blow of the event but I guess that is why they show these things on TV. I did manage to shut my trap and focus to see Benny Jacobellis win the consolation heat and to see some of the near carnage in the last heat. I guess it should be no surprise that Nate and Pat Holland, along with Johnathan Cheever were in the final heat, seeing as how they had the three fastest times in time trials and dominated there heats all day. Mattias Blomberg, the only non american in top eight, join the crew to make a pretty exciting final. Towards the bottom half of the course Johnathan Cheever was in the lead and seriously almost died catching his nose landing the hip jump but saved it and charged through, that little bobble and clinking tails with Pat Holland spinning on the bottom jump cost him the win. Not to mention that eye of the effing tiger attitude that pulses through the veins of Nat Holland. Nate had his mind set on winning the Suzuki RM-250 and was so stoked to ride away with it and another ten grand at the end of the day. Being everyone’s biggest fan is hard, because I was super stoked for Nate but also super bummed Johnathan, he has been ripping this whole week and year and I wanted to see him win one, I guess second is not too bad either though. Mattias Blomberg ended up third with Pat Holland in fourth. Blah blah blah this is a bad blog but we have a party to get ready for, Wescott is hosting the rider party at his very own Restaurant and Bar called the rack in fifteen minutes so please excuse me I have some more annoying questions to ask....
