Our local NSSA event was canceled this weekend due to excessive runoff from heavy rainfall in San Diego county causing unhealthful ocean water quality. This is pretty typical for our oceans everywhere after a rain. We took advantage of this opportunity, got up at 4:30 am, and drove north searching for healthier water and good waves. We took in a session at Rincon and Emma Wood. The crowds were small and the waves were fun. I had to put on my 4/3 and hoodie! A big difference from the conditions in Hawaii.
