Every year we can all create new goals to reach. As a competitive athlete I choose a few goals a year that I want and sometimes for one reason or another I either meet the goals or don't. I might even meet one or two of the goals I focus on and a few I just miss to only add it to the following years list. Throughout this year I have had the goal to win a NSSA National Title in the Open women’s division. I went into the contest wanting to win and I wasn’t going to back down. The Open women’s division was at its best this year. Surfers such as Malia Manuel, Sage Erickson, Coco Ho and many others who were performing amazing throughout the event. It takes a lot of work to be able to achieve a goal only to realize that another new goal will just replace it once one is reached. This doesn't diminish the stoke I feel and I'm glad to have attained this amature level title. I just know it isn't the end and signifies what could lay ahead for me in my surfing. This week I'll be competing in the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach and the SG Jr Pro events. After the events are over I'm going on my first trip to Indo!
