I am an old school Freestyle rider, the first factory sponsored freestyler for Team Profile to which I still have the Factory Bike and Team Jacket. I was first sponsored by Profile (86-87), Haro (87-89), Dyno (89-92). I started racing in St. Pete, FL in the NPSA in the early 80's. I worked at the Tyrone Bike Shop as well as doing Freestyle. When Team Haro came to St. Pete and did a show/contest, I took 1st place and it was rad as I had won a Haro Bike. By watching Bob Haro and Ron Wilton ride freestyle, I was immediately hooked. I went directly home and built a rad Half-Pipe! I love riding the half-pipe and still do at local parks. I have a FreeAgent Air Raid bike for my freestyle fun, which is my favorite fun. I recently purchased a Haro Racing Bike which used in my "RETURN TO MY ROOTS RACE" at the NBL Tampa State Qualifiers. I placed 1/2/2, made it to the mains and ended up with 4Th place. Not too bad for this 40 year old rider, starting my new venture back into the BMX scene! At the race, I was surprised at just how many old school friends that I ran into. It was kinda like and old school reunion for me. Some riders that I used to ride with, had their kids racing the track, which happily made me fell like a big kid again! The Profile guys were all so nice and had mentioned to me that they still have the old school factory poster, with me as their 1st freestyle rider, hanging up in the shop. That was cool news! I have two wonderful daughters that I raised which are 19 & 20 now. I have also met a wonderful girl, who is my girlfriend of over four years as well as my biggest fan/supporter/Sponsor! Now, I must say with great joy that "I AM BACK"! I couldn't be happier at this point in my life. Remembering the days of old, doing shows and traveling the world doing freestyle, has lit my fuse once again! That old adrenaline rush is back and I am in proper condition for my return.
