The weekend after juding the ASA comp I headed to Swainsboro Georgia to do some shows with, nolli, Trevor Meyer, and Kip Williamson.  It poured most of the drive there Swainsboro is one of the smallest towns i have been to.  We were definalty recognized as the "the folks that aint from these here parts"  Everyone was pretty cool.  Even the local PO-lice gave us some friendly tips on how to take our favorite beverages  around town and in vehicles without any trouble.  I suppose lead by example?  Anyways, the festival was pretty small with the shows having good turnouts.  Our first 2 days our shows were at 845 in the morning. YUCK!! In additon to ourt show the was a log cutting show, a snake show and a civil war renactment with the loudest cannons I have ever heard.  On actually went off when I was riding the ramp. Scary.  Frida nite also had a country band playing i heard "freebird' called out quite a bit, they did eventually play a classic Skynard cover.  What is the south without some skynard? All in all it was a fun trip with a good group of friends.
