I was recently in Oklahoma City doing high school shows. While I was there I was able to pay a visit to Mat Hoffman. I have known Mat for years but I had never been to his house before. One afternoon after our shows I headed over there with Gabe Weed and Mike Saavedra. Mat told us he had his portable vert ramp set up so we brought our bikes.
Mat lives in a very nice, gated community. It was strange to see a huge ramp in such a setting. We sessioned with Mat for about half an hour. I had not seen him ride in about two years due to his shoulder injury which he received in a car accident. It looked like he was having fun riding again. After riding we hung out and listened to Mat and some of his friends play music. I was like a kid in a candy store looking at all the riding memorabilia he had on display. It was a great time!
