This past weekend I spent more hours than i'd like to admit holed up in a white tent in front of a computer screen with a microphone in hand trying to talk intelligently about two sports I know next to nothing about. Thank god I had boardsport guru, pro snowboarder, and super nice guy Andy Finch there to keep me company and call out the technical name for all the cool tricks I saw.
I actually learned quite a bit! I learned that there's a wakeboard move called a "Moby Dick", but I don't have a clue what separates it from a "whirlybird". I learned that throwing a "tantrum" on a wakeboard actually earns you points and you are allowed to fall once during your run without losing any points. I was really excited about the flowboarding, even though I had to watch all the action on a computer screen rather than standing a few feet away and seeing it all live in person.
By the end of the weekend I was completely brain fried and unable to speak. In fact, I'm definitely tired of hearing myself talk and apologize to all of you out there that had to endure my voice for six hours straight (Jeff Greenwood)!

If not for the energy and enthusiasm of my partner in the booth, I would not have survived. Thank you Andy Finch!!!!
