I've always wanted a dog. But with my nearly constant travel schedule and the fact that I live in an apartment, i just havent been able to justify getting one. Three years ago when I was buying my lot in Nicaragua I met a little puppy named Ducha. She belonged to the hotel pack of dogs and was incredibly cute.

By now, little Ducha is all grown up and one of my favorite critters in the world. We have totally adopted her or she has adopted us, but when we are in Nicaragua, she sleeps on our porch and barks at anyone who passes by. She waits for us to grab our surfboards and then eagerly runs down to the beach with us. While we surf, she chases birds and plays in the shorebreak, then follows us home to nap in the shade.

I'm totally in love and looking forward to when we get to live in Nicaragua full time and actually claim her as our dog!
