So the other day I said I might be adding a new lap top to my Christmas list.... and looks like I will be. I took my computer into the store because it wouldn't turn on one day to find out that my hard drive took a dump, meaning EVERYTHING is out the window long gone. I had my files back up until just before worlds, so I didn't loose anything from London and the rest of my European trip, but the thousands of pictures and videos from Japan, China, South Africa, and everywhere else I went over the last six months and 50,000 flight miles are gone. Definitely very bummed about that.
I have the warranty coverage with the store I bought it from so I am taking it in to replace it with a new one tomorrow which is cool and all but those photos can't be replaced. I lost tons of school work and other things I had been working on but I'm not worried about any of that, I would have deleted them within the next year anyways but the reason I take all those pics is so I can look at them 20-30 years from now and get a laugh out of them. Every 10 minutes something else important I lost pops up in my head. There is this company that can retrieve files from broken hard drives sometimes, but its a LITTLE pricey, $1,700, yeeeaaaaa, I don't know about all that lol. Oh well, lesson learned, back your files up regularly. Later - JB
