The cool thing about the mountains is that the possibilities are endless. As I reach one pinnacle the next one looms off in the distance. This has been going on for twenty years and has yet to let up. I came to the Wasatch to hit the Hypodermic Needle but along the way the needle has become a distant memory. All focus is on the next objective, the next challenge, and the next high. Today I hiked up a Wasatch classic with Forrest Shearer. It was a mellow day of bashing wind lips and shooting tubes but along the way the hit list got bigger.

- Ward and Forrest showing off their backyard.

- This dogleg I spotted on the way up rocked my world. I needed a little time to digest what I had seen and was not ready to fire it today. I will come back tomorrow for a closer look.

- Forrest gets things started with a classic back hand hack.

- Forrest lines up a dirty little tube Wasatch tube.

- Superior is a world class descent by any ones standards. A two hour hike buys you a 2800 ft descent that is lined with feature after feature from the first turn to the last.
