5050 invades The Frog

5050 Invades the Frog

What a weekend for the community here at Bullfrog. Eddie and the crew from 5050 in Layton came down and put a show on for what was probably the smallest crowd ever for these guys. But non the less, they showed up dialed and ready for a good time.

What was originally planned for Friday night ended up being thrown down on Saturday due some technical difficulties, which actually turned out to be better for the show. Saturday morning rolled around and we decided that we would go on a hike, so along with me and my ma, eddie and the 5050 crew (Dave, Chris, and Adam)  went to the deifance house ruins. After a mile long hike and a few practical jokes about snakes, we arrived at the ruins. We took some awesome pics and everyone enjoyed what has been arond since 1250 AD. After that it was back to Bullfrog to rest up and get ready for the show.

Eddie had asked me if I wanted to ride with the guys, but lets face it, Im a racer, and I jump a MT. Bike. So I was a bit hesitant, however, seeing the ramp get set up, I knew I couldnt pass the chance to ride with such caliber of riders. The show started and the crowd started to grow. It was great to see the support of Bullfrog come out and see something completely different than what they are used to. The kids of the town were super stoked, they couldnt believe that we had real people doing the tricks that they see on TV every day. We rode for close to two hours, with Eddie at the helm, keeping the crowd entertained with his opinions about the place and the bassholes, ha it was all time for sure.

This was by far a highlight of the year for Bullfrog, BMX, good food, good people, and of course Lake Powell. How could you go wrong. I would like to say thanks to Eddie @ 5050, Dave, Chris, and Adam for being so great to the community, and putting on an awesome show. Also thanks to Timmy T for hooking this whole thing up, you never know where the friendships in BMX will take you and the opportunities that they can create.

Until next time, keep on keepin on, and get out there and RIDE!
