Hi! My name is Kristen Kjellman and lacrosse is a huge part of my life. I currently play lacrosse for the US National Elite Team. Our team went to Prague at the end of June for a practice tour, serving as preparation for the 2009 World Cup. We came out as the tournament champions!
In 2007 I graduated from Northwestern University after wining 3 National Championships. We went to the White House to meet President Bush in 2005 and 2007 – Both were awesome experiences! Before Northwestern, I graduated from Westwood High School in Massachusetts. I’m still a huge Boston sports fan!
In November of 2007 I moved to Chicago and started working for Nike as a Lacrosse Specialty Rep and a Licensed Sales Rep. My responsibility in lacrosse is to help build and authenticate Nike lacrosse in the Central Region. In my licensed role, I am responsible for managing the major retail and stadium stores for the Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, University of Illinois and Marquette.
Meanwhile, I am an advocate for the Women's Sports Foundation and their Go Girl Go! Chicago program. They do a tremendous job of promoting female sports and getting girls active.http://www.womenssportsfoundation.org/Content/Articles/GoGirlGo/Chicago/K/Kosciuszko-Park-Featured-Event.aspx
