It's Dew Tour time here in Breckenridge. I drove past the pipe last night and it was all lit up! It looked like a stadium. It's really exciting when a venue looks so professional. I think the Dew Tour is going to be amazing for our sports in the future. We are still waiting for the sun to come out here in Colorado. It's been a couple weeks since we've had two sunny days in a row. I watched the women's snowboard slopestyle qualifier yesterday. It was intense, the jumps are the biggest the snowboard girls have ever hit in a contest, and the conditions were tough. The light was flat and the wind was making the speed really inconsistent. It was survival not progression. I overheard some of the girls calling it The Don't Tour, as they dropped out because they thought the danger of getting injured was too high. My good friend Chanelle Sladics won the qualifier with solid rails and straight airs! Even the men were having a hard time clearing the jumps. It's sad because the course is actually amazing and the jumps are built really well, it's just a challenge when the conditions aren't optimal, and it's winter in the Rockies... If we get a clear day, it's going to be a show! The pipe is set up just like X-Games, and I think that will be an incredible event! We will see as the action unfolds here in Breckenridge!
