X Games 13 was bigger and crazier than ever. I arrived in Aspen on Wednesday for our first day of practice. It was amazing the course is really intense and the jumps were big. Everything was great, it was a beautiful day and practice went well. I got to the Oakley house that night. It is a huge place just outside Aspen. It was a great house and there were parties every night. It was so exciting to be at X. I look forward to summer and winter X games all year. We had a ton of practice this year for slopestyle, and we needed it. The jumps were so close to each other, it took a long time to get comfortable with the course. All the practice went unused though, because on the day of finals, no one could clear the jumps. It was snowing really hard. It was really sad, but the organizers said it was now or never. The X Games has to plan the events with really tight windows because of TV programming. We couldn't wait out the snow. The course was dangerous and 2 of 8 girls went down in a sled. Sarah Burke broke her back and Kim Lamarre blew her knee. They both came up really short on a jump. I couldn't bring myself to hit all the jumps in my run, knowing I would come up several feet short. When I got to the bottom, I was really upset, because I was so excited to finally be at X Games for slopestyle, and I put so much into training in the last couple months. In the end Anna Segal won with a solid run. Congratulations goes out to her for toughing out the difficult conditions. Hopefully next year will be better! I'm going to come back here for the Aspen Open for a little redemption.

Saturday night after the contest was the Monster party on top of Aspen Mountain. It was an incredible party and "I had an Awesome time!" It was the perfect time for a little fun, and Monster always does it right. The party was so much good, Everyone ended up at the Monster house for a little Apres. I got home some time before dawn... If you ever have the chance to go to a Monster party, don't miss it!
