Episode 4 started off with a golf course run. The track was nearly a mile around. One person started running to the left, while the other teammate ran to the right. We had to meet our partner somewhere along the track, and pass the baton. First team across the finish line won. It seemed fairly straight forward. Since it's made for TV there were a lot of delays before the start of the race. We warmed up then were put on hold for a while, warmed up put on hold etc... When we were finally called the starting line we were excited to get the race over with. False start... Instantly on the false start my legs cramped up. Both my quads felt like rocks. I looked at Maks and told him I wasn't sure I could run the race, meanwhile the same thing had happened to his legs. We were on the starting line wondering if it was even possible to run. Bang! The gun went off and so did we. I was in so much pain at the start of the race I almost stopped. Ali Landry was the only thing that kept me going, she told me to breath and that calmed me down enough to focus. Despite the fact that Maks had a cramp I could see him on the other side of the course flying by his competition. I couldn't disappoint him. I saw Lisa Leslie ahead of me and knew I had to catch her. We passed the baton and as my legs warmed up I found my stride. I picked up pace to the finish line and we crossed the line first! Another first place finish, but at what cost? My legs hurt so bad, I went home and sat in an ice bath for the first time in my life! We just hoped that the next event would be an easy one.

We were in luck. The next day when we went to wardrobe we were handed bowling shoes! I never considered myself a good bowler, but as long as it was easy on the legs, I was excited. Bowling was anyones game. We were so close to being taken out in the first round. Luck pulled us through, and after that Maks and I both had some decent rolls. We finished the day in 2nd and safe again! At this point we were getting a little worried. We hadn't even seen the obstacle course and some teams had been there multiple times. Did we have the right strategy?
