Couple a days ago I went to Rye Beach, New Hampshire. I brought my dog Gidgett for a day trip. When I first got there it was 40 degrees. Not exactly warm and there was a layer of fog so thick that you could not see if there were any waves. So I walked around on the beach for Gidgett's first walk for the day until she needed a break. Then when she was wet and cold I put her in my car and went into one of my favorite surf shops, Cinnamon Rainbows. In less than an hour the weather was clearing and the surf was picking up. It is hard for me to be at the beach and not go into the water, but with my cast on for the next month, I will have to wait before I enter the water. So I continued to walk Gidgett and enjoying the beautiful day. We probably walk about four miles but Gidgett was running back and forth so much she must have doubled that amount. We had a great time and Gidgett was so tired she slept the whole next day. SHe had a blast. I also just finished reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. I highly recommend it. It was sad but a very important piece in history.
