Just finished up a three week stint on the wqs. Started on the island of Gran Canaria in Las Palmas for the 4*. Pretty much saw flat waves that whole week and hung in the hotel watching depressing shit about the economy on cnn. that was the only channel in english so it was kind of forced upon us. The next week was quite a bit better. we flew over to Lanzarote for the 6* prime event. Comp didn't go good for me but we had some fun waves and a lot of games of shit head around the card table in the house. Climbed a volcano one day. Lots of lava rock and to much wind up there. Awesome times!!!! My buddy brandon had a rather large night involving all day puking as a repercussion. that was funny but a bummer for him. He got lost in the desert on his late night walk back to our house. Pretty sick! The final week was spent in lisbon for the last 6* event of the leg. This comp went much better for me. I placed 5th and got a bunch of points to help keep me in the top 50. It brought me from 61 to 48 in the ratings going into hawaii for the final two events of the season. Hoping to stay in the top 50. Stoked!
