Dylan Clark singer, song writer, and guitar playeris the ring leader of the Milwaukees, a Jersey City, NJ, rock and roll outfit. He is the quintessential, charmingly arrogant, frontman. Jeff Nordstedt is the lead guitarist. He brings the earnest indie-rock work ethic (but is not afraid to shred when the time is right). As with all great rock bands, the rhythm section features the real musicians. Donovan Cain (bass) and Patrick Fusco (drums) lay down the grooves and let the songs do their work. They operate like a motorcycle gang and they play spades like ex-cons.
Their song writing is informed by the greats: Lennon, McCartney, Costello, Petty. The urgency in their delivery has been compared to Hüsker Dü. The boldness of the guitar riffs come from somewhere between Led Zeppelin and Dinosaur Jr. The live show is a revival like Springsteen but the songs are more like a cross between the Thin Lizzy and Toad the Wet Sprocket. Or is it the Guess Who and the Minutemen? Well, you get the point.
The band has spent the last year writing and touring the East Coast. They continue to cultivate a fan base and are preparing to make the next great rock and roll record. The music they are writing fuses their influences, reflects their energy, and boldly incorporates organic sounds, strong melodies, and classic accessories (horns, hand percussion, and gospel singers). The Milwaukees are a band on the verge of great things. They are ready to fulfill their destiny as the next great Rock n Roll band and the first independent arena rock band.
