My Shining One roared out of New Jersey in June 2003, morphing out of members of Nora, For The Love Of, and Ensign. They incorporate metal and hardcore influences, adding layers of indie rock and attention deficit disorder to create a sound that blazes a new path. After recording their debut 3-song demo in August 2003 they hit the road, honing their live show with performances supporting bands like Burnt By The Sun, Nora, Misery Signals and A Life Once Lost.
In 2004, My Shining One remains hard at work writing new material, expanding the scope of their earlier efforts. With an EP soon to be released on Engineer Records, these guys brings a more refined sound to the party, a potent blend of devastating, heavy riffs, melodic hooks and sculpted lyrical melodies.
