Just got back from a last minute trip to Tahiti chasing a off season south swell. We scored sick 10 tp 12 feet Teahupoo with basically no one around. The trip consisted of the Gudaskas trio(Pat,Dane,Tanner) and Nelly from Transworld Surf. Besides countless barfing barrels, one of the highlight/scare the shit out of me was what we found out was lurking right outside where we were surfing. After getting barreled all day we jumped on the boat to get back to Mommies and Poppies house for dinner. As we pullede into the dock mommy was standing on the dock waiting for our return. She informed us that they just caught a 5 meter 1 ton tiger shark about a half mile outside of where we had just been surfing.
