Dave Odegaard is a guitarist/composer who has gained notoriety from his release, SECOND ATTENTION. Various songs from his cd can be heard in tv shows, dvd documentary and movies such as; Travis Pastrana's Nitro Circus 4, AMC TV, ABC Family's WILDFIRE, Showtime ReEvolution, Fuel TV, Full Circle the Nate Adams documentary, Keen Footwear, This is the Sea 2, Red Bull and many more. Dave's big hit song, ANOMALY, was also nominated for JPF's Best Instrumental Rock Song in 2006.
Born in San Diego, Dave moved to Japan at the age of 5, and migrated back to Los Angeles, where he received his music education at G.I.T. Dave continued his musical career working with many local bands, and various artists. Extensive U.S. and international touring experience has contributed to his eclectic playing style and grace. Working as a studio musician and sideman, Dave has had the fortunate opportunity of playing with many notable musicians such as Lex Lang (voice over/actor/musician), The Velvet Box, Ron Wikso (drummer with Foreigner, Cher, Richie Sambora), Chris Frazier (drummer for Steve Vai), Mark Zonder (drummer for Fates Warning), and Wade Biery (bassist/singer for Still, Leanne Rimes, Carlene Carter, Christopher Cross).
New CD, GRAVITY, release date May 10, 2008 is my latest album. This album consists mostly of vocal songs and marks my debut as a singer. This is a departure from my typical instrumental records that I have done in the past. Of course I had to throw in 3 instrumental songs on there. This new album features amazing musicianship from guest players, heavy guitars riffs, lots of shredding licks that shredders will hopefully appreciate, catchy vocal hooks and most of all kick-ass rock songs. The CD was created with the help of several of my friends that are very well known musicians such as; Mark Zonder (drummer from Slavior & Fates Warning), Ron Wikso (drummer from Gregg Rolie, David Lee Roth, Richie Sambora), Wade Biery (bassist for STILL, Leanne Rimes & Christopher Cross), Erik Eldenius (drummer for Low Millions, Billy Idol, Jackson Browne) and John Cardoso (drummer for East of West and most of my previous recordings).
